The two twin beds, when combined, will give the same width as that of the king-sized bed, but the length will be 5 inches shorter. Needless to say, this might be a problem as the bedsheets will not perfectly fit the mattress and there might be a gap between the mattresses and the king bed frame.

Just so you know TWO TWIN beds means four beds. TWIN means two...I heard this all my life from my mother, who was an identical twin. Whenever I hear it, I cringe! But, I loved the detailed explanation. Now to get the twin beds out of the attic...and by the way, the belonged to my mother's twin's sons!!!

I don't want to use a king bedframe. So what types of twin XL frames will allow us to get the mattresses close together to use a bed bridge? Are there platform beds without extra thickness on the side edges so that you CAN put the two twin XL mattresses in frames close enough to use a bridge and strap together? Thanks.
