  1. Buyer beware – I ordered two pillows over a month ago. The money immediately was taken from my account, but I received NOTHING in terms of communication about a delay, or a projected timeframe for receiving my pillows. I had to find this company’s phone number to get the information that my order was “pending”. I requested a refund, we’ll see how quickly that happens.

    1. I also had the same issue. I purchased 4 pillows back on 6.22.20 no email as to when my pillows would be shipped. I had contacted both fed-ex and sutera with no assistance. I have requested that they return my money and they told me I had to fike a police report and a photo before they would return my money, what a bunch of BS. Do not order through this company as you can get the same pillow through amazon.

      1. I ordered a pillow and then a warranty charge of 19.99 was stuck on my order. I emailed and canceled the order within 5 minutes of ordering. I then called after I saw the money was quickly taken out of my account and they said it was now to late. They couldn’t give me a tracking number for the mailing but said it had been sent. They kept trying to give me a discount that I did not want. The customer service representative Luke was not helpful at all. I filed a dispute with PayPal and will never return to this company. They’re a rip off

        1. Good luck TL! The day after I ordered the Sutera Pillows I started sending cancelation requests, but they were ignored. I’ve got a box from them that I won’t open as I hope to find a way to refuse them. My only fear at this point is the cost of shipping them back as I fear they’ll refuse to take them back. I wish I’d never ordered these pillows but trying to cancel once they’re ordered is practically impossible. Buyer beware – definitely!!!

      2. I have foramen magnum stenosis and occipital neuralgia birth of which give me terrible migraines. If you have any similar medical issues, this isn’t for you. You can only return if you pay a 15% restocking fee or accept a 50% refund. I bought my pillow directly from Sutera. Terrible, horrible pillow.

    2. I suggest anyone wanting to try this pillow buy with PayPal who offers a the true money back guarantee. I also contacted Sutera customer service after receiving the worst chemical smelling pillows I have ever bought! My family tried them after airing them out for nearly two weeks and still refused to sleep on them as the chemical smell was awful! I broke out in a rash on both sides of my face and my eyelids after sleeping for two nights on the pillow. When I contacted Sutera Customer Service here is what they said:

      “Thank you for contacting the Sutera Team.
      Important Notes:
      • It is natural for new memory foam pillows to give off a chemical-like smell.This is called
      off-gassing and quite similar to the smell coming from the interiors of a brand new car,
      the smell of dry cleaning. Our pillow gets packaged immediately right out of production,
      and it may sometimes emit an odor when opened as a result of the manufacturing and
      sealing process and is very common in the production of memory foam. Memory foams are
      usually manufactured using petroleum-based products and chemicals like
      fire-retardants to comply with federal standards.

      • The “new memory pillow smell” is not dangerous to your health and dissipates in a few days
      up to a week. To some people, the temporary scent is manageable, but for others
      it may be intolerable to sleep on when first unboxed.

      Here are a few tips on how to remove the “new pillow smell” from your Sutera Memory Foam Pillow more quickly:

      I am looking into product liability and non-disclosure of harmful ingredients laws at present to see if legal action may be appropriate since my family has been physically damaged as a result of these pillow with rashes and upper respiratory issues. Way to go Sutera customer service!

      So why aren’t they letting the product breathe and “off-gas” prior to packaging then? Exactly how long do I have to wait until the product is “useable”???????????????????? Are you kidding me???????????????

      Thank God I used PayPal for these transactions. They charge you for your first order then if you add any additional pillows when they keep lowering the price after you initial purchase, they charge you a second time. I personally don’t like these kinds of not quite honest business practices either. Seems to me they care more about dumping product than selling a really good and useable product.

      Their pushy sales agents trick you into multiple charges by saying the transaction did not go through. Then they stagger shipments to throw you off. If you want to return the unwanted products, they charge restocking fees & more making it cheaper to just keep! Total scam operation. AVOID SUTERA!

    1. I ordered a pillow back when COVIC-19 first started and I was working from home. I ordered this pillow and have yet to receive the pillow or a refund. I have gotten the run around since I started calling or emailing. I’m going to report them to the BBB.

  3. I ordered a pillow in late June or early July and also had issues. I never got any kind of communication as to order confirmation, etc. however when I contacted them via email I did get a response that my order was pending. I continued to send emails regarding status and they did get back to me. It took a long time to get the pillow but I did it today (6/6/20). So it took a month or more but they did communicate when I emailed. I do like the pillow. I think it will take a little getting used to since it is not like your average pillow, but I am hopeful.

    I do agree they need to improve on communication and transport time but like I said they did return all of my emails and I did receive my pillow. 😊

      I was alerted today via text that my package was just delivered & on my porch.

  4. I just received my pillow after waiting over a month. I was really excited because I am a back sleeper, and it looked perfect. My entire head went numb, it was thin, hard and nothing like I expected. I called immediately to find out how to return it (I assumed they would send me a shipping label), but they informed me it would be a 15% restocking fee plus on top of that I would have to pay for the return shipping. She then said to avoid a hassle, they would offer me a 50% refund and I could keep the pillow. It would have cost more between the shipping and the restocking fee, so I kept it and I guess I could give it to someone. So disappointed!

  5. I ordered 3 pillows and it took 6 weeks for them to arrive. When I opened the package the smell of mildew was intense. I contacted the company and was told to let them “air out” that the pillows absorb smells will in the warehouse. These are made in China, though the company puts an American flag on the site. I tried repeatedly to get a refund but was told that they had to have my personal cell phone number to contact me. They refused to contact me through email. The smell is sickening. Handling them gave me itchy eyes and had to take allergy meds. I ordered 3 and gave one as a gift and I am embarrassed giving this pillow. Don’t deal with this seller. Disgusting product and lousy customer service

    1. DO NOT order these pillows. They are disgusting and the chemical smell the pillow puts off smelled up the whole room and made me sick to my stomach.
      The smell made my sinus burn and gave me instant headache.
      They have horrible customer service and the return policy is a joke. Waste of money let alone a health hazard. The pillow is now stinking up the garage because it is a further waste of money to send it back. Horrible company.

  6. worst pillow ever! I have tried for 5 nights and it just made my neck pain even worst.
    The surprise came when I called the company to return the pillow just to found out that they shipping costs wouldn’t be paid by them and they would keep 15% as a fee.
    Worst pillow, worst customer service!

I have slept on this pillow 4 nights and neck and shoulders are worse than before, called about a refund but choices are not good, 85% refund and you pay postage yourself which is probably very high because it is very heavy or keep the pillow and they will refund your card at 50% of what you paid. So that means satisfaction is not guaranteed.

  7. 1/2 star. Poor product. Too soft. No support, both physically and from the company when I wanted my full refund, that after 15 minutes with someone who barely spoke English, I only got half my money back and keep the terrible product. Is it really so bad Sutera doesn’t want it back? I get some of my money back and I still can’t help but feel scammed. Terrible product. Terrible company.

I wanted to order one pillow but when I got to end after putting in all my information the order form continued adding pillows until my order added up to over $200 when I was only wanted one pillow. Really, there was no way that w could change my order. Now, I’m stuck with 5 pillows that I don’t want and a $200+ of which I don’t want or can afford and it also cost more to return. And trying to talk to someone from this company is not a chance at all. The company is a SCAM!

  9. I ordered one pillow using PayPal. I was concerned because it did not ask for shipping address. I immediately messaged the company and they responded within minutes. I gave them address and had a follow up message to assure me all was well. I received the pillow in 5 days and love it.
    I have never had better customer service !

  10. Do not purchase this pillow if you are looking for support. I opened the box and the pillow was EXTREMELY thin. It did ‘fluff’ up after a bit – but there is no support whatsoever. It actually caused my carpal tunnel to flair up. I returned to my regular pillow the next night and had no problems.

    The return process is a joke. I requested a refund and was asked to call customer service. When I did, I was offered a 10% refund and $25 store credit and I could keep the pillow. Nope. Just want my refund. So they countered with a 50% refund and to keep the pillow. If I didn’t accept this offer, I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee and shipping. So, I just took the 50% refund to not have to hassle with the shipping, etc.

    Buyer beware.

  11. DO NOT BUY FROM SUTERA!!! I ordered two pillows which I received on January 3, 2021. These pillows are not as described on the Sutera website, however, my husband decided to keep his. I wish to return and obtain a refund for mine. I emailed Sutera’s Customer Service department (per their online instructions) on January 31st. This was within the 30 day return requirement. I requested an RMA number and a refund. On February 5th, I received an email that Sutera needed to have a personal conversation to process the return. I called on February 5, per Sutera’s instructions, and the Sutera Agent said that Sutera had “no record” of me contacting them for an RMA. (Obviously they have a record of my request, or they would not have sent me the email telling me to call them). The Agent I spoke with then offered me $3.89 to keep the pillow. I refused, said I wanted to proceed with the return and refund, and asked to speak to a supervisor. This was denied. I received an email on February 8 asking me if I was satisfied with my conversation with the Sutera Agent. I replied that I was not and that I wanted an RMA number and refund. I did not receive any reply. I tried to reach them at their “Customer Support” line today (February 11) but could not reach a person, only an automated “we’ll get back to you” message. After reading the experiences of others, I see this is standard for this company. DO NOT BUY FROM SUTERA!!!

    these pillows are not working for us and I wanted to send back before the 30 days and no one got back to me, Its now over 30 days and i am stuck with to pillows that we can not use? Can someone please help me

  14. Similar to many other reviewers, I purchased these and never received an emailed receipt. After emailing they finally responded that they had my order. Once received these pillows are not memory foam as they are hard as rocks. I have other memory foam pillows that are very soft. These do not give and create neck pain. Upon returning they charge you 15% restocking fee plus you pay return shipping. So they falsely advertise the pillow as memory and give you inferior standard foam, don’t stand behind their product, and make money reselling the same cheap pillow! unbelievable never buy from this company!
